India, the sacred land of great souls and holy sages, has since time immemorial been the birthplace of rishis, munis, and ascetics. Whenever righteousness and truth decline on this earth, and the darkness of unrighteousness and sin increases, God sends forth divine, enlightened souls for the welfare of the world. These enlightened souls destroy unrighteousness, injustice, and social evils, and guide society toward devotion to God and the path of dharma, so that all beings may walk the righteous path and attain liberation and the ultimate state.
Revered Devi Ji is a living embodiment of these very scriptural and mythological teachings. At an age when an innocent child is still fully dependent on their parents even to speak, Devi Ji, at the tender age of just 7 years, gave powerful recitations of many divine mythological stories. Today, she has countless devotees across India and the world who offer her their deep reverence and devotion.
Devi Vishnupriya Ji was born on 31 October 1998 in Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, into a Brahmin family steeped in Sanatan traditions and sacred values. Her family upbringing and the religious environment of her village planted the seeds of devotion in her heart. While completing her early education in her village, her interest deepened not only in worldly learning but also in dharma, ethics, and mythological stories.
Inspired by Lord Shri Ram, her arrival in the sacred city of Ayodhya Dham proved to be a golden turning point in her life. There, a saint, sensing her pure and blessed soul, blessed her with a copy of Shri Ramcharitmanas from “Bada Mahal Ram Ji ke Charan” and instructed her to study it. The saint also gave her the name “Vishnupriya,” which later became her identity. During her time in Ayodhya, she undertook deep study of Shri Ram Katha, classical scriptures, and Sanatan principles. The company of saints greatly strengthened her resolve toward devotion and the propagation of dharma.
After Ayodhya, guided by divine inspiration, she arrived in Haridwar, the supremely sacred city of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Her arrival on the holy banks of the purifying Mother Ganga, in this land of sages’ penance, proved to be a new and profoundly divine chapter in her spiritual life. Here, in the divine presence of Ganga Ji, Devi Ji undertook a deep and systematic study of the profound mysteries, hidden meanings, and mythological narratives of the Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran. Just as Mother Ganga’s pure waters flow endlessly, a boundless stream of devotion began flowing in her heart as well. This scriptural contemplation, carried out amid Haridwar’s spiritually charged energy and sacred environment, gave her knowledge lasting permanence, and further deepened her resolve to spread Harinaam-Sankirtan and Sanatan Dharma through the discourse platform (Vyaspeeth) for the welfare of all beings.
Not content to remain confined to scriptural knowledge and discourse recitation alone, and with the aim of purifying the mind and offering society a healthy lifestyle, she turned toward Rishikesh, the City of Yoga. Arriving in this land of Ashtanga Yoga associated with Maharishi Patanjali, Devi Ji absorbed the profound secrets of formal yoga practice, meditation, and pranayama at the world-renowned “Akhand Yoga Ashram.” There, under the guidance of saints and sages, she also learned the divine art of focusing physical, mental, and spiritual consciousness. Today, Revered Devi Ji incorporates this yogic knowledge into her discourses as well, so that people may remain both mentally and physically healthy.
With the aim of providing a permanent and institutional form to social welfare, religious consciousness, and cultural revival, Pujya Devi Ji established the “Mantra Yoga Ashram Trust.” To spread the social trust and spiritual inspiration earned through the Vyaspith to the masses, the trust was formally registered in the city of Yoga, Rishikesh (Uttarakhand). This trust is the foundation of all of Pujya Devi Ji’s Seva Prakalps. With this, Pujya Devi Ji’s spiritual and social journey is now taking on an international dimension, not just across India.
The “Mantra Yoga Ashram Trust” is a sacred and dedicated organization that, under the guidance of Pujya Devi Vishnupriya Ji, continuously works for the Protection of Sanatan Dharma, cultural consciousness, and selfless service to humanity. Based on the motto of “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva” and “Atmano Mokshartham Jagaddhitaya Cha”, this Trust is fully committed to the all-round development of society, propagation of spirituality and revival of moral values. From the year 2015, Revered Vishnupriya Ji formally took her seat on the Vyaspeeth and sounded the clarion call of her divine and extraordinary journey of discourse recitation and the widespread propagation of Sanatan Dharma. Carrying within her heart a profound devotion to God, the grace of her guru, and a deep concern for public welfare, she is not only connecting people to the devotional streams of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna, but is also, through her divine voice, kindling the light of spirituality, ethics, and truth in the wandering human mind.
Devi Ji believes that “a healthy mind and devotion reside only in a healthy body.” With this belief, she conducts a special “daily yoga practice” (yoga session) every morning for devotees during her discourses. Through this yoga practice, she raises public awareness of yoga, pranayama, and meditation, so that devotees become fit not only mentally and spiritually to receive Hari-Katha, but also remain physically disease-free and energetic.
Through Shri Ram Katha, Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran, Shri Hanuman Katha, and stories of devotees, she is kindling the sacred light of devotion, knowledge, and detachment in the hearts of people everywhere. With her powerful and sweet voice, she continuously inspires devotees toward the Sanatan path and devotion to God. She continues to spread the sacred river of Hari-Katha across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Prayagraj (the divine Maha Kumbh and Magh Mela), Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana, and other corners of the country, as well as in Kathmandu and Birgunj, Nepal. Through this extensive spiritual journey, she is spreading spiritual awakening by connecting millions of devotees with Sanatan culture, yoga, and Harinaam-Sankirtan.
Over the years, this devotional and health-giving journey has become a strong medium for the revival of Sanatan culture, the re-establishment of ethical values in society, and guiding people toward ultimate liberation through Harinaam-Sankirtan.
Revered Devi Ji firmly believes that, alongside discourse recitation, service to society is true worship of God. She uses the support and resources received through her discourses to help the helpless, the poor, and those in need. She continuously inspires youth toward character-building and righteous living, working to stop female foeticide, empower women, and eliminate social evils and superstition.
That is not all — on the divine occasion of the great Kumbh festival, grand “Seva Shivirs” (service camps) and “Divya Sadhana Shivirs” (divine practice camps) are organized under the guidance of Revered Devi Ji, becoming a unique center of spirituality and selfless service. Excellent and well-organized arrangements are made for free food (prasad), accommodation, resting places, and Sattvic community meals (bhandara) for the lakhs of devotees and saints who attend this massive camp. Beyond just rest, the camp also faithfully carries out free medical services, cow-welfare awareness (Gau-Seva), environmental conservation, and daily yoga practice — all social and spiritual service initiatives. This service camp fully embodies the Sanatan spirit of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (the guest is God) and “Service to Humanity is Service to God.”
